- Co-op PvE battles are here! Team up with a party member to fight wild Pokemon, route trainers, grunts, Gym Leaders, the Elite Four and Champions side by side. Open the Party dialog, or right-click any player to invite them to your party.
- Horde battles: ordinary wild encounters can now turn into a horde of two or three Pokemon. The chance is 1 in 100 per encounter, and 1 in 50 on a route with an active swarm, so a Swarm Flute now also boosts hordes.
- New item: Pure Nectar. Craft it, or buy it from any Poke Mart once you have finished the new Horde researcher's crafting quest (unlocked after your fourth badge). Each Nectar lasts 750 land encounters and, while active, raises the horde chance to 1 in 25 (2 in 25 with an active swarm) and makes hordes four or five Pokemon strong instead of two or three.
- Swarm Flute rework: your flute now starts a swarm on the route you are standing on, swarms are independent per map so several routes in a region can have one at the same time, and you can extend your own swarm by an hour with another flute during its final ten minutes, straight from the new Swarm browser.
- New registration costumes: six for male and six for female characters replace the old new-player outfits. Created your account before 3 September? Visit the Boutique Courier in the Veilstone Super Mart for a free Starter Costume Ticket and pick any of the twelve bundles from the trader next to them.
- Choose your follower Pokemon, and shiny followers now shimmer and leave a sparkle trail.
- NPCs come alive: HGSS-style indicator bubbles show who has something for you, and NPCs idle, turn and emote while you pass.
- New weather and atmosphere: shader rain with lightning, dynamic showers on outdoor maps, volcano embers, and layered living-world effects.
- Chat emotes: mood emotes in chat with a picker for recents and favorites, plus clickable links.
- Battle UI: clearer target selection with spotlight dimming and chevrons, type effectiveness shown on targets and HP tags, and a restyled party details dialog.
- Shiny Pokemon in the PC now sit on an animated type-colored backdrop.
- Android: smaller in-app updates, native keyboard input, and proper handling of notches and display cutouts. Dialogs scale automatically on high-DPI phones.
- Big performance pass for crowded maps: batched player, mount and NPC rendering, lower memory use, and lighter weather effects.
- Various minor UI improvements and bug fixes.
