@everyone As promised in the teaser video, I'm happy to announce that we've finally drilled down the Kanto release ETA to next week - it can drop any day! We're currently waiting on the final set of art from our artist and running our last round of tests.
Here is a list of things to expect in Kanto:
- Added multiple new Pokémon to the game, including several Legendaries, obtainable through wild spawns and new content.
- Introduced numerous Mega Stones available from wild spawns, quests, and new content.
- Added new moves: Gigaton Hammer, Mortal Spin, Electro Shot, Meteor Beam, and semi-invulnerable functionality for Phantom Force, Dig, Fly, Dive.
- Fixed moves: Tailwind, Geomancy, Salt Cure, Soak, Solar Beam, Solar Blade, Doodle, Aurora Veil, Strength Sap, Burn Up, Double Shock, Roost, Recover.
- Fixed abilities: Water Absorb, Fluffy, Shadow Shield, Multiscale, Sturdy, Ice Scales, Good as Gold, Comatose, Purifying Salt.
- Added the Hidden Power move along with a new mechanic to change a Pokémon's HP type.
- Added an Illegal Move Learner, allowing Pokémon to learn any move they could in previous generations, including exclusive event moves.
- Added a new Gym Rechallenge Mechanic: defeat gyms repeatedly to earn rewards that scale with your win streak.
- Launched a new Community Goal that, when completed, spawns new Dynamax Bosses.
- Added new achievements tied to the Dynamax Boss battles.
- Introduced a brand-new HUD, with several customization options to adjust its appearance to your preference. HUD will also support smaller android screen sizes natively so there will no longer be a need to use UI Scaling.
- Updated in-game dialog boxes for improved clarity and consistency. This is just part 1 and more will come in the next update.
- Added new Dialog Styles which can be changed based on your preference.
- Released a fully redesigned Pokédex with new features: View spawn locations, item drops, evolutions, and filtered learnsets, Search and sort improvements for easier navigation.
- PC Box updated with new searching and filtering options which include search across all the boxes.
- Other minor QoL updates like Repel Step Counter, Chat Font Sizes, Multiple Tab Support in Chat.
IMPORTANT: Get yourself ready and plan ahead for Kanto release. Remember that your old Pokémon will be useless in Kanto as they will all be downscaled to level 1, and you cannot open chests or use rare candies in Kanto. Plan your strategies accordingly!
